These 3 tips will get you selected in the interview

If you are pursuing any teacher training courses right now, it is very likely that you would be required to attend an interview at the end of the course. While the interview is supposed to be your last opportunity to put a final nail in the coffin, the entire PGCE course is all set to take a toll on you if you choose not to prepare well. After all, the interviewer would expect you to possess all the qualities required to be a successful educator. So, it is very important to put all the unimportant works on the sideline and prepare for the entire year. Hard work and determination would be what you will require the most.

What does the interviewer expect from you? There is a list of things.

Professionalism is a must

Professionalism is the cornerstone of success in any field of work. It is an especially important quality when you are expected to teach a pool of students. Of course, you should have fun in life but that should not be your priority in the classroom. Students are here to learn new things and they expect you to fill their knowledge gap. The interviewers would evaluate you based on what you know, what you do and how you do it. Hence, be prepared and enhance your professionalism, because it is also necessary to be successful in teaching assistant courses.

Read as much as possible

Nothing beats the power of reading books. When you are aiming to build a successful career in the education sector, you better get educated yourself. There are a lot of facts you are not aware about. We recommend you to read books regarding your field of teaching. It would surely benefit you and your students. Besides, your interviewers would be impressed to see your efforts in building your knowledge base.

Mind the ethos

You should understand that each institution is different than the other in terms of their philosophy and that reflects in their tone. Depending on the school or university you are about to debut as a teacher, you should conduct a proper research to get used to their ethics. This will allow you to impress the interviewers by showing them your interest regarding their institution.

We cannot deny the fact that some of our teachers have played a very pivotal role in shaping our lives and help us in reaching the point where we lie today.  I am sure you would agree with me on the point that the role of a teacher is not just limited to giving us academic knowledge. However, their role expands further and also contributes significantly in shaping our character and molding us into better beings.

The teachers excise significant amount of power in the building or shaping of our career. I am sure many of you would agree with me on the point that at some point of time or other in our lives we have all wanted to role play our teachers. You would agree with me that there are many such courses advertised online. However, some of the factors which often play a critical role in helping us choose our courses are the applicability and the course fee. You can be rest assured about the course fees as it is run in collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church University which provides sufficient relaxation on the course fees. Secondly you can always trust the applicability, as it makes you professionally ready to teach across wider platforms.

Award In Education And Training

Teaching is an ever evolving profession

One of the most important reasons to undergo a professional training course is the need to stay on track with the ever developing industry of education. Teaching modules along with curriculum is changing every year, depending upon the changing socio-economic scenarios across the globe. A course in education means you are well aware of the different aspects of your profession. You would be well informed about the educative frameworks that you might not be aware about. Winning an award in education and training (AET) would enable you to understand the requirements of students of specific standards, therefore helping you to deliver content as and when required.

Objectivity matters

If you do not know the objectivity behind teaching a certain subject, your mission would remain incomplete. Students would not be able to relate to what they are studying and that means your job, as a teacher remains undone. However, this is not a popular case among properly trained professionals. Again, domain of expertise matters a lot when it comes to effective teaching, without which a teacher might face difficulties understanding the motto of the curriculum.

Organization is important

Everything needs to run according to a specific plan. Lack of proper training in education means you has limited knowledge on how to organize classes for an effective education process. It is extremely important to organize a schedule and stick to it, so that your students do not find it difficult to grasp the knowledge you are spreading.
